Help & tutorials › Change a model
Change just one part
Paint over an area and say what it becomes — the rest stays exactly as it is. 10 credits.
Fix one part without touching the rest: brush over it, say what it should become, and Hewly repaints just that area as a new version.
Step by step
- Open the model. In the panel on the right, find Repaint an area and tap Start painting.
- Choose a brush: Small, Medium or Large.
- Drag on the model over the part you want to change — pink marks show where you painted. Drag beside the model to turn it. Undo stroke and Clear take marks back.
- Type what it should become, for example red leather boots.
- Tap Repaint this area — 10 credits. A new version opens; your original stays as it was.
Good to know
- How it works: the whole model is painted with your words, then the new paint is kept only where you brushed. The edge is blended, so colours can shift a little right at the border.
- It works on a model that already has paint and is one piece. A grey shape preview needs Texture this model → first.
- If it fails, your credits come back.
